PPF Vehicle Templates and Cutting Patterns
A PPF template is a digital pattern for a vehicle part, prepared for cutting paint protection film. LionCut lets you find a pattern, inspect panels and prepare the job for your plotter.
From vehicle model to individual panel
Start with the make and model in the template database, then select the exact panel: bonnet, bumper, wing, sill or interior part. Check model year and body style; similar model names do not guarantee identical panel shapes.
Verify a template before using film
Check dimensions, orientation and fit against the specific vehicle before cutting. Use vector editing if the pattern requires an adjustment. A test fit matters especially for modified or repainted panels.
Prepare the cutting layout
Cut panels individually or arrange several on the roll using nesting. Verify material direction and spacing before sending the job to the plotter. Search the live database for the current availability of a particular model.
Does every variant of one car model share the same pattern?
Do not assume so. Check model year, body style and the specific panel before cutting.
Where can I check if my vehicle has a template?
Search LionCut's vehicle database by brand and model; availability of individual panels may vary.
